Day 2 of Falls Music Festival at Mt Daneed Estate saw an even bigger day of artists. The day started with local band Soak, who managed to put on a decent performance despite a 20 minute delay due to technical issues. Courtney Barnett also took to the Valley Stage.

Melbourne Ska Orchestra started with a very small crowd (being sunny and 38 degrees does that) but by performance end, they had a few thousands singing and swinging along to their very cool tunes despite the high temperatures. City Calm Down played an energetic set up on the top of the hill before the big acts took to the Valley Stage in the evening.

As the time was nearing towards Rufus’s set…all of a sudden there was a thousands and thousands of people starting rushing into the venue, down towards the main stage. For most of the day, the venue felt deserted as people stayed under the shade to avoid the excessive heat, but as the sun was setting, people came out from their campsites and were ready to get partying again. It was an amazing thing to experience, sitting their on the grass as literally thousands of people streamed into the venue.

Rufus and Bloc Party played knock out sets playing a variety of both old and new tracks that had the crowd hyped and partying into the night. Good times. See the pics below.
